As a trained child and adolescent psychiatrist, I have helped hundreds of patients manage and, many times, overcome their mental health difficulties. I am passionate about providing the best care possible for your child and family.

As a psychiatrist working with children and teens, I place especial importance in seeing the patient as an individual with particular needs and desires but also as a part of a greater system, where their relationships, school, friends and family play a significant role in defining and shaping them.

Through my detailed assessment and consultation, I want to develop a good understanding of my patient’s life, being mindful of their sufferings and limitations as well as their strengths and unique qualities; and from this knowledge create a clinical formulation and provide treatment recommendations that are best suited for them and their family.

“From the moral as from the intellectual point of view, the child is born neither good nor bad but master of his destiny.”

— Jean Piaget

“Children love and want to be loved and they very much prefer the joy of accomplishment to the triumph of hateful failure. Do not mistake a child for his symptom.”

— Erik Erikson

“You see a child play, and it is so close to seeing an artist paint, for in play a child says things without uttering a word. You can see how he solves his problems. You can also see what's wrong. Young children, especially, have enormous creativity, and whatever's in them rises to the surface in free play.”

— Erik Erikson
